5 Essential Pairs of Shoes (For Men)

https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/
Many people assume that only women care about their appearance because they shell out hundreds of dollars on clothes, shoes, and accessories. That is not the case. Men have pride in their appearance, too! If you look around the shoe store, you will notice that they have a large selection of footwear to choose from. Fear not, men, I'm here to help you pick out shoes without emptying your wallet!

1. Gym shoes
These shoes were made to be worn when running or playing sports. Don't make the mistake of wearing sneakers to do either of these physical activities. Knowing that gym shoes are worn for an active lifestyle, it's ideal to put on active wear. Active wear include tank tops, t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, and sweatpants.

2. Sneakers
Then there's times when you want to relax, like spending time with the family or hanging out with friends. Sneakers are the perfect type of shoes for these moments. There is a variety of these shoes, including Converses, Vans, Toms, and Keds. Whichever type of sneaker you choose, I recommend purchasing a pair in a neutral color to go with most of your outfits. Sneakers go great with casual clothing like tank tops and shorts. They can also be worn with semi-formal clothing, such as dress-shirts and slacks.

3. Boots
Don't want to ruin your gym shoes or casual sneakers in the snow? There's boots for that. While you're wearing them with a coat outside, keep in mind that what you wear underneath still matters. What I wouldn't recommend wearing your boots with are formal clothing like dress shirt, dress pants, you get the idea.

4. Dress shoes
It's time to dress up for a special occasion - you have your dress shirt, dress pants, blazer, and tie ready on your bed. You're probably wondering what type of dress shoes to wear with your formal attire. The type of dress shoes is based on your preference, with the most common being apron toe oxfords, cap toe oxfords, and loafers. I suggest buying a pair in black as it's the easiest color to wear and can be worn with semi-formal attire.

5. Sandals
The warm weather's finally here, and I'll bet your feet could use a break from hiding in stuffy shoes. With summer comes a large selection of sandals, so pick a pair in a neutral color and you're good to go. I wouldn't recommend wearing slide sandals or flip flops because they don't support your feet well, which can lead to numerous health issues.

Well guys, I hope this article has helped you narrow your choice of shoes. Understand that even though these shoes are the essentials, you're welcome to experiment with various styles, colors, and designs. For example, if you're a minimalist but would like to update your style, you can try wearing shoes in a different color or with textures or patterns. Have fun adding to your shoe collection!
